The kettle was busy in Llanfyllin on Saturday morning as the village hosted a coffee morning.
Dozens of people squeezed their way in the Institute for the fundraiser which was organised by and held in aid of the Llanfyllin Bowls Club.
Chairman Tony Birch said money raised will go towards general maintenance of the club which has two teams in the Oswestry District League.
He continued: "We've got around 30 members, but we're always looking for more.
"We're a friendly club and are open to anybody of any age."
The club is busy preparing for the start of the new season which gets underway on Wednesday, April 10.
Tony continued: "We try to host two coffee mornings a year as fundraisers and they are always well supported."
Andy Green, treasurer and the organiser of Saturday's event, added: "It's going well and there's plenty of cake which people have backed for today."
The event was also supported by the NSPCC, while other stalls included a 'Guess the weight of the cake', a 'Pick the card' competition, and a raffle.
