A North Powys male voice choir is on the lookout for new talent - ahead of a dream gig at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Since the 1950s Penybontfawr Male Voice Choir have been singing, travelling, competing, and, entertaining.

Now organisers say the future of the Choir depends on finding new members to keep the proud Choir going well into the future.

"We are still quite a strong Choir of about 40 members, so to make the Choir's future secure we need new members, " said a spokesperson/

"You don't have to be a musician or be able to read music, all you need is to have a love of singing.

"There is no better time to join the Choir because we have just been invited to sing at The Millennium Stadium at The World Cup warm-up game against Ireland on the 31 of August this year.

"Please come and have a go -we’d love to see you. By the way, we have a lot of fun as well."

The choir practice on Wednesday nights at 8pm at Pennant Village Hall, Penybontfawr.

Anyone interested in joining should phone Huw Morris on 01691 860220 or Alwyn Williams on 01691 648066.
