Firefighters were called to an industrial estate near Whitchurch last night.
The call to chimney fire at the Mereside Industrial Estate in Bronington was made at around 11.20pm, but was a false alarm.
A spokesperson for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was made with "good intent".
