A WOMAN who was found dead at Pontcysyllte Aqueduct near Llangollen has been named as Pauline Owen.
An inquest opening was told Mrs Owen, of Wrexham Road, Johnstown, had been diagnosed with a form of cancer.
John Gittins, coroner for North Wales East and Central, said emergency services were called to the scene at 8.35am on Monday, March 18, following the discovery of the 67-year-old in the water below the aqueduct.
The hearing at Ruthin was adjourned pending the outcome of toxicology results and will be held later in the year.
