Llanfyllin Charity Shop celebrated its 10th birthday on Saturday, March 16.

Deputy Mayor of Llanfyllin, Cllr Tracey Windsor said over the past decade it had become a much loved shop which generates significant funds each year for the local community.

"On behalf of Llanfyllin Town Council I would like to thank and congratulate Llanfyllin Charity Shop and its wonderful volunteers, staff and drivers on its successful 10th Anniversary," she said.

"Also for all their hard work, effort and time which they kindly give voluntarily and also to you the community for your loyal support.

"Let's admit it, we all love a bargain don't we!

"The shop is a great social hub for so many people and it has become extremely beneficial to those, especially the elderly people of the community, who no longer drive and also for those who don't have a car or a driver's licence. It is such a vital amenity to our community."
