A MORETON Hall student is set to represent her country at one of the UK’s biggest horse shows.

Tillie Davies and her pony Indi will be taking part in The Royal Windsor Horse Show in May.

The 13-year-old recently took part in the Pony Club Mounted Games Welsh Trials and was selected for the Windsor show along with five other riders.

Tillie has also been selected for the Shropshire under-13s lacrosse team after playing at school.

A member of Berwyn and Dee Pony Club, Tillie will be walking in the footsteps of her late auntie Sarah, who represented Wales at the Windsor show back in 2000.

Her family described her selection as a “special occasion”.

Speaking after her selection, Tillie said: “I’m so happy to have been selected to represent Wales at The Royal Windsor Horse Show – this has been my ultimate goal since I started mounted games at the age of four.

“I would like to say a massive thank you to my trainer Elaine Trevor-Jones who has spent hours training myself and my pony Indi to achieve this dream and to follow in my auntie Sarah’s footsteps.”

Tillie will take part in the show which takes place between May 8-12.
