A MAN has died in Ellesmere over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Birch Road, near the White Hart Inn, shortly before 1am (Saturday).
A West Midlands Ambulance said two ambulances attended reports of a medical emergency at 12.56am.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was in cardiac arrest," he said.
"Despite the best efforts of ambulance staff it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
Members of the public are understood to have tried to help the man before emergency services arrived.
Police attended the scene but a West Mercia Police spokesman said that no third party is believed to have been involved and that a report was being prepared for the coroner.
