A WHITCHURCH dance school opened its first dedicated studio at the weekend.

Maggie Mays hosted a Greatest Showman themed workshop at its new home on Pepper Street.

The school has grown since it first launched seven years and now has 100 children on its roll, aged 18 months to 18 years, enjoying daily classes in street, ballet, tap, cheer, acro freestyle and contemporary.

Students have successfully competed around the country winning medals and trophies.

Crissy Wylie, founder and owner of Maggie Mays, said: “Having our own dedicated studios is like a dream come true. We now have so much more space and the freedom to use it how we need. A lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone in to getting the two floors dance-ready and there is more we still want to do! For now though, we just can’t wait to get dancing.”

“On behalf of everyone at Maggie Mays I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the creation of our new studio, including Abbey Removals, Discount Carpets and Beds and CL refurbishments, and our devoted mums and dads.”
