The inaugural Classics at the College event was such a great success, it is returning in 2019!

The popular event, which raised vital monies for Hope House Children’s Hospices in Oswestry, will return to Ellesmere College on Saturday, June 1 and is looking to be another sell-out.

Around 80 local classic and vintage vehicles will enjoy a scenic drive from Hope House through the stunning Shropshire and Welsh countryside before driving up to the magnificent gothic college building.

The car run will leave Hope House at 10.30am, reaching Ellesmere College at around 12noon.

From 12.30pm onwards members of the public are encouraged to come along to the college for free to see the fantastic selection of classic vehicles on display until 4pm.

The college will also be holding a free art exhibition on the same day which can be enjoyed at the same time.

The exhibition will be in the fabulous grand hall (known as Big School) – well worth a visit for its own sake.

Julie Kirk, organiser of the rally, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting a second Classics at the College event.

“Last year’s event was a wonderful day, it was a fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts to get together to show their vehicles, and members of the public to come along and appreciate their beauty whilst raising money for such an important local charity.”

Early bird entry for the event is £10 per vehicle up to May 1, increasing to £15 thereafter.
