An OSWESTRY firm's relocation is set to provide a jobs boost.

GWR Fasteners Ltd has moved to a new 10,000 square foot premises on the Artillery Business Park, which it says will see increased manufacturing and distribution in the region, and a boost for jobs in the future.

Owners Gary and Jude Robinson decided to move from their premises in the town where they had been since 2013, because they had no room left to grow and the location was not easily accessible to customers.

They designed the interior of the building with an architect so that it would enable more efficient and effective working, give their employees a more comfortable environment and offer customers an invitation to see the inner workings of the company.

The move to the new premises gives the company the opportunity to increase its stock holding and product ranges, and to purchase further CNC machines to increase its manufacturing capacity and capability.

GWR says that this will "enable a rise in employment for the area".

Jude Robinson said: "This is a massive step in our continued growth. This year, we celebrate 10 years in business, and we have always dreamed of being in a premises which would look as we’ve always felt inside, professional, precise and dedicated.

"We haven’t been in the premises long, but we’ve already had customers visit us and they have all been very impressed with how we have organised ourselves, and the overall aesthetics of the building, internally and externally.

"We are always striving to do better by our customers, and this will mean that we are more efficient and effective in delivering to them.”
