A MAN has appeared before magistrates in connection with a stabbing in Telford.

Connor Shepherd appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court today charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a pocket knife.

The 18-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charges in connection with the incident which is said to have happened on Monday evening.

The injured teenager is said to be still in hospital with serious injuries which are not said to be life-threatening.

Shepherd will appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday, March 18.

Detective Inspector Lee Holehouse, from Telford CID, said: "We believe there was a disturbance in the area shortly before the teenager was found in Waltondale and would ask anyone who witnessed this, or has any information, to get in contact with us."
