A MAN has been charged following a firearms incident at Lake Vyrnwy.
Richard Lawrence Alan Barnard, 44, of Alltforgan, Llanwddyn, has been charged with possession of a firearm (a sawn off shotgun) with intent to endanger life, possession of an imitation firearm and acting in a manner likely to endanger aircraft by firing at a police helicopter.
It follows an incident on Monday, January 21, at Alltforgan when shots were fired at unarmed police officers who had gone to the farmhouse to carry out a welfare check.
He was due to appear at Mold Magistrates' Court on Friday morning (January 25).
