DID you stay up late – or get up early – to see an amazing astronomical phenomenon in the skies of North Shropshire?
Noted astronomer Peter Williamson took these stunning images of the total lunar eclipse yesterday (Monday, January 21) from Whittington Castle.
The moon was partially eclipsed between 3.35 and 06.51am, with the total eclipse from 4.42 until 5.44am.
Photographer Marcus Rheade-Edwards took some shots of of the event, commonly known as the 'Blood Moon'.
Advertizer Camera Club member David Mottrom took an atmospheric shot of the moon at 4.45pm on Sunday, joking that he was "not a mad man to get up at 5am".
