Firefighters from Ellesmere were called out to a chimney blaze late on Friday night in Newton.
Two crews were called to the incident at around 11.25pm, with an aerial ladder crew from Shrewsbury also on hand.
Firefighters used chimney roads and a stirrup pump to put out the blaze which involved a log burner.
The crews removed the log burner while the aerial ladder platform assisted due to difficult access, spending around two hours at the scene.
