A PAIR of teenagers have been arrested after a woman was assaulted in Oswestry.

The assault happened around 6.20pm on Monday 7 January in Shelf Bank, near to Queen Elizabeth Close.

The woman, who is 30, suffered a slash wound and was taken to hospital for treatment – her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two boys aged 16 and 17 have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently in police custody.

Detective Inspector Scott Harris, said: “This was a nasty attack that has left the victim with significant injuries. If anyone was in the area around the time of the incidents then we would urge them to get in contact.”
