HIT American comedies, thrillers and more feature in Oswestry Film society's latest season.

Oswestry Film Society have announced the films for their 10th season showing at Oswestry’s award winning community cinema, Kinokulture.

The Society is showing films on the first and third Tuesdays of each month from January 15 to the end of April, the season starts with Gifted, an acclaimed US drama from 2017 starring Chris Evans and Lindsay Duncan.

Michael Hudson from the society said

“This tenth season has everything from huge American comedies to tiny British drama, plus an anniversary screening of a Hitchcock classic along with some familiar faces in unfamiliar films.”

The smash hit rom-com Crazy Rich Asians screens in February, rarely seen small scale British thriller The Hide follows after, and we end the season with Olivia Cooke from ITV’s Vanity Fair in 2018’s US indie black comedy Thoroughbreds.

A season ticket covering all seven films is available for just £21 and on the door tickets are available at £6 per film.

“Season tickets work out at just £3 a film, cheaper than screening them at home, and you get a great reason to leave the house on these wintry nights and enjoy them on the big screen.” added Michael
