Pictures show a lorry hanging over the edge of Cefn Bridge near Trewern following a crash on Tuesday evening.
Two lorries were involved in the collision on the A458 near Welshpool. The road remained closed for some time while the heavy goods vehicles were being recovered. Trains between Welshpool and Shrewsbury were also cancelled.
A damaged Severn Trent lorry is pictured hanging over the edge of the bridge, held back by the crash barriers.
The other lorry was moved before the County Times visited the scene.
