RESIDENTS at a Gobowen Care Home enjoyed their Christmas party on Saturday.

Meadowbrook Care Home organised their festive celebration and welcomed family members and friends through the door to celebrate with them.

Stalls selling cakes, wood carvings, hats, scarves and Christmas decorations were put on.

Most of the 44 residents attended the party along with visitors to create a good festive atmosphere.

Emily Hackworthy works at the care home and helped to organise the party.

She said: “We do a summer fate and a Christmas fair every year for the residents and any visitors who wish to come along.

“Any money raised goes back into the resident’s funds to help us pay for activities, singers and trips out.

“It was nice to see so many people in attendance and also good to see that everyone really enjoyed the day.

“It goes down well with the residents every year we hold the event and it seems to be something that not only residents, but visitors enjoy too.”
