The Fire Tones have been listed as one The Official Chart's 'contenders' for Christmas number one with their own version of 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'.
The Official Charts have described the song as "a promising charity single with its eye on the top spot".
The article goes on to quote Welshpool's Chris Birdsell-Jones, who came up with the idea.
“I feel proud and honoured to have been involved with such a fantastic project, however much money we manage to raise. I’m over the moon to have worked with such a talented group of people. But the hard work starts now!” he said.
The other contenders on The Official Chart's list are:
Ava Max – Sweet But Psycho
Flakefleet Primary School
Lad Baby - We Built This City
Buzzcocks - Ever Fallen In Love
The Celebs - Rock With Rudolph
Basil Brush - White Christmas
The winner of the biggest chart race of the year will be announced on Friday, December 21.
