The Fire Tones have started making it into the charts, but they need your help to get their version of 'Do They Know It's Christmas' to number one in in time for Christmas.

The singing firefighters have made it to number two in the Amazon Music charts and are one of the best-sellers at HMV, but are still not making the official charts.

The Fire Tones are also being played in 500 Next stores across the county as part of their festive playlist.

Welshpool's Chris Birdsell Jones, who came up with the idea, says that national radio stations need to get behind the charity single to make all the difference. "They need to give us some air time," he said.

"We need people to be asking Radio 1 and Radio 2: 'When are you going to be playing The Fire Tones?'," Chris said.

"People are supporting us but not enough people know about us.

"We need to get that airtime we have got ten days to go," he said.
