A FORMER Lakelands Academy pupil turned BBC reporter returned to her old school to present awards.
Frankie McCamley, who is a presenter and investigative journalist, visited the Ellesmere school to present the Year 11 awards.
“From my perspective, it was a honour to be invited back to present the Lakelands awards,” said Frankie.
“I hope I gave the graduating pupils some inspiration or advice that could help them in the future.
“I was given a tour of the brand new facilities by Mrs Williams, Mr Wright and Mr Parkhurst. It was wonderful to see how much the school has progressed in the years since I left. Other than the physical changes, everything else was the same. The teachers hadn’t aged a bit!
“I loved returning to a school that I have fond memories of. I was also very proud to be back.” in my home county.”
