A MAN was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car.
Police and paramedics attended after the collision in St Martins at around 8pm on Sunday (December 9).
Inspector Tracey Ryan, of West Mercia Police, said that contrary to reports on social media, the collision was not a hit and run and the driver made every effort to seek assistance for the casualty.
She said: "Investigations to date suggest that speed wasn't a factor. There was no impairment."
Insp Ryan added that weather conditions and darkness may have been a factor.
A man, thought to be in his 60s, was taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
