It’s approaching that wonderful time of the year and Porthywaen Silver Band and Fron Choir are back to start the festivities.
Once again, Porthywaen Silver Band and the world famous Fron Choir have arranged a Christmas Concert at Holy Trinity Church, Oswestry.
Tickets for the event on Saturday December 8 at 7.30pm are selling fast and, as in previous years, a sell out audience is expected.
Tickets are £10 and available at Rowanthorn and Oswestry Guildhall.
Porthywaen Band have had a busy year with numerous concerts, parades and helping local organisations with fundraising.
The highlight of 2018 for Fron Choir, with several members from Oswestry and the surrounding area, was winning the Male Voice competition at Llangollen International Eisteddfod.
Band conductor Dougie Graham said: “ We always enjoy our Christmas concert with Fron Choir. It attracts a great audience and is a real celebration of popular and festive music."
Fron Choir chairman Roger Williams added: “The choir have had a fantastic year but it is always good to celebrate Christmas locally by sharing the stage with our good friends in Porthywaen Band.
"I am sure it will be another wonderful evening with a packed audience."
