A HOSPITAL stores worker has been hailed for his commitment to his work.
Mike Bartholomew, a stores assistant at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital (RJAH), is this month's Health Hero Award winner.
Mr Bartholomew, who primarily delivers supplies to the theatre department, was nominated by facilities manager Martine Williams and his supervisor, Mark Evans.
“I am very proud to be Mike’s manager; he often goes above and beyond to keep theatres running smoothly and is a fantastic representative of the trust's values," Ms Williams said.
“He’s such a kind and considerate man who, throughout the years, has helped me enormously.”
Mr Bartholomew received his award from hospital chief executive Mark Brandreth at the monthly board of directors meeting.
Mr Evans said: “Recently, Mike was due to take a week’s annual leave however decided to cancel this to ensure the service to Theatres continues seamlessly.
“He is extremely dedicated to RJAH and the experience of our patients.”
