THE Attfield Theatre is engaging in some unashamed nostalgia for the Christmas production Danny Champion of the World.

It comes from the pen of children’s favourite author Roald Dahl and concentrates on the forgotten art of poaching in a close community.

In Danny . . . feathers are ruffled when the greedy land-grabbing Lady Victoria Hazell (Liz Franks) strolls into town.

The Attfield is ready to take you on a splendiferous and fantastical journey as Danny (the role is shared between Jake Dillon and Dylan Bolton) and his Dad (Dave Ryder) try and get one over on the mean spirited Lady Hazell.

Director Janos Barber says Danny . . “ is a magical story of community, belonging, and the special bond shared by father and son. It is suitable for imaginative audience members of all ages."

The play, which has been adapted by David Wood, will be performed at the Attfield Theatre from Monday December 10 to Saturday December 15.

Curtain is up at 7:45pm with tickets priced £8 available from the box office at The Guildhall, ring 01691 680222 or online at Ticket Source.
