AN ESTATE agent firm has welcomed a new addition to its Oswestry ranks as the company looks to help mould the next generation of surveyors.

Roger Parry & Partners are delighted to announce that Julie Kennerley has joined as a graduate rural surveyor in the Oswestry office.

Julie, from Petton in Shropshire, assists in the management of estates including farmland, residential and commercial properties. She also helps with utilities work, including compensation claims on behalf of clients.

Julie studied rural property management at Harper Adams and then completed a part-time masters in rural enterprise and land management over three years while she was working for United Utilities specialising in water and waste water pipeline schemes.

Welcoming Julie to the team, Richard Corbett, a partner in the Oswestry Roger Parry & Partners office, said: “We are delighted that Julie has joined the firm.

“It is important as a profession that we help to train the next generation of chartered surveyors.

“Julie will be a great asset to our office in Oswestry with her farming background, experience with United Utilities and her education at Harper Adams University.”

Julie, who was brought up on the family farm in north Shropshire, is now working towards becoming a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and FAAV (Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers).

Commenting on her appointment Julie said, “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to work with the experienced team at Roger Parry & Partners who are one of the most established teams of estate agents and chartered surveyors in Shropshire and mid Wales.”

The company operates from offices in Shrewsbury, Minsterley, Oswestry, Welshpool, Llanidloes and near Llandovery.
