Town councillors have agreed to look into the feasibility of introducing dual bins on a trial period for organic and inorganic to be pre-sorted.
Councillor Jay Moore, who made the proposal, told the Market and Town Centre Committee that according to his research Oswestry would be the first Shropshire town to have the bins if they were installed.
Central Car Park and Cae Glas Park were discussed as possible locations.
Councillors unanimously agreed to approach Shropshire Council to see if they would be interested in participating
