AN AWARD-WINNING family-owned car dealer has recruited its second husband and wife team.

Craig Williams, sales executive at Arthurs Vauxhall in Oswestry, and newly-appointed telephonist Kloe Williams-Jarvis are actually working together for the second time.

For Kloe met Craig when he was a winger at Newtown FC and she was their sports coach.

Kloe, 21, has given up sports coaching to take on the new position at Arthurs of Lower Brook Street, Oswestry.

She is the first dedicated telephonist at the dealership for some time – an appointment she regards as offering a more caring and personalised service to customers.

“I am delighted to be taking on this new role which is a complete contrast to my previous sports coaching jobs with different organisations,” said Kloe.

She has not only been sports coach at Newtown, but for Hockey Wales and Newtown Gymnastics spanning the last decade.

Of her move to Arthurs, Kloe said: “When I met Craig at Newtown FC, he always said what a good company Arthurs was to work for and how friendly everyone is.

" I thought it would be a good environment for me in which to work and I actually feel as if the job has been made for me.

“I like talking to people and helping them and I have no regrets giving up my sports coaching roles for this new opportunity.”

For Craig, 35, his seven year career with Arthurs has included two separate stints as valeter and now two in sales.

Again, this was something of a record for the dealership.

His football career, which spanned 10 years, took Craig from The New Saints to fellow Welsh Premier League clubs Aberystwyth and Newtown.

The couple, who have a nine and a half month old child Elias, live at Llansantffraid.

Brian and Sandra Lamb are the other married couple who also work for the company, which also has locations in Wrexham and Newtown.
