A KINDHEARTED mum-of-two has helped to spread some Christmas cheer by supporting the Leader toy appeal.

The Leader has joined forces with the charity North Wales Superkids to gather gifts for children who may otherwise receive none this Christmas.

Claire Carter, 55, from Mold, generously dropped off a donation with the Leader team in Mold on Monday.

She encouraged readers to get behind the appeal whenever they can, adding: "I have two boys aged 27 and 19.

"They were lucky but there are a lot of children out there who are not as lucky.

"I hadn't heard of the appeal before but I saw it on Facebook and I wanted to help.

"If you're out and about you could just get something small that you might give your grandchildren, or toiletries for the older children.

"If everyone did a bit - even if it is just one or two items - it will make a big difference."

Until December 14 the Leader offices in Mold and Wrexham will be accepting donations of unwrapped gifts for children which will be collected by North Wales Superkids to be given out to families in need.

North Wales Superkids was founded first as a group by Margaret Williams MBE from Flint.
