A PAIR of youngsters took to the water to help a disabled swimming group.
Bethan Pimble, seven, of Selattyn, completed 100 lengths (2.5km) of the pool at Oswestry Leisure Centre to raise funds for Shropshire Sharks.
Her proud mother Kathryn, 40, said that Bethan wanted to achieve her 2,000 metre badge but decided to challenge herself and go further while raising money for a good cause.
She chose the Shropshire Sharks, which helps people with learning and physical difficulties learn to swim, after reading about the club online.
Bethan's sister Maggie, six, decided to join in and set herself a 200 metre target, which she beat to complete 250m.
Mrs Pimble said: "It's lovely and I'm very proud of them. It's lovely that they're thinking of people less fortunate than themselves."
The girls have received their swimming badges and have raised around £150 in donations so far.
