Four generations of pupils attended a Queen’s Park school reunion in Oswestry.

Ninety-six women attended the event held at Oswestry Golf Club, where there was a chance for the pupils to look back through old photographs and other memorabilia from their school days.

One of the organisers, Sarah Halstead, said: “We had pupils there from 1941 through to the 1980s. Three teachers attended.

“During my research of the school, I found out that Queen’s Park School was one of the oldest girls schools in the whole of Great Britain, a fact I didn’t know when I attended.

“For such a small school it played a very important part in our lives and lifelong memories.

“The golf club should be mentioned for their incredible service and buffet.”

Barbara Roberts, who also attended, said: “It was a great night. We were all very excited to see each other, especially as it’s been 25 years since our last reunion.”
