THE MAYOR of Oswestry was a guest as an educational group showcased various activities.
Councillor Sandy Best visited the Oswestry Borders U3A Interest Group Fair, where exhibitors promoted their activities and welcomed newcomers.
There was also an opportunity to try out a few French and Welsh conversation phrases at the café, where members served coffee and home-made cakes.
The next speaker meeting will feature David McCaddon, award-winning playwright and crime thriller author.
David will talk about the pros and cons of facial recognition software in a talk entitled We Never Forget a Face.
The talk will be at Oswestry Senior Citizens Club in Lorne Street from 2-4pm on Wednesday, November. Admission is £1, which includes refreshments.
Newcomers can attend a couple of meetings, or interest groups sessions, as guests before making a decision to join.
