A WREXHAM country park has been given a well deserved clean up by local children.
Children from Ysgol Yr Hafod attended Stryt Las park in Johnstown last week and with the help of Councillor David A Bithell.
The group travelled through the park collecting rubbish with their litter pickers, and filled several bags with rubbish.
Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: "The event was well attended and the children from the ECO Council really enjoyed the afternoon at Stryt Las Country Park.
"We obtained various objects which had been dumped in the park including litter the children even found an old inflatable whale.
"Many thanks to Shane from Keep Wales Tidy who also attended as well as volunteers Rangers and park staff. Keeping the park tidy is important to local people and is a great asset to the surrounding communities."
