CARELESS parking by parents dropping off and collecting pupils from a school is affecting bookings at a nearby chapel hall, a community leader claims.
Cllr Brenda Roberts told Rhosddu Community Council that parking outside Plas Coch School in Stansty, Wrexham, was a real problem.
She is a member of Wrexham Methodist Chapel close to the school. She said the chapel tried to work around the school hours but the parking is everywhere and some parents sit in cars chatting.
She has seen the school’s crossing patrol warden walking the children to their parents' cars.
She said booking at the chapel hall had been affected because of the parking problems.
Cllr Roberts said the police PCSOs' presence in Rhosddu was valued by residents in and she asked if they could keep a eye on the parking at school.
Police said parking at schools was was a problem everywhere and police were aware of the issues involved.
