PEOPLE of all ages enjoyed a variety of scientific activities and exhibitions.

The science weekend took place in Wrexham town centre on Saturday and Sunday.

At Wrexham Enterprise Hub, visitors were able to experience virtual reality, computer coding and robot building with Techniquest Glyndwr's Techzone team, as well as the chance to design their own computer game characters.

More robotic activities were held at Undegun and there were opportunities for people to make their own kaleidoscope as part of the weekend.

At Techniquest Glyndwr a selection of activities, exhibitions and demonstrations showed the secrets behind cutting edge cancer research as part of Cancer Quest with the Wales Cancer Partnership.

Mandy Jones, senior exhibition and events officer at Techniquest Glyndŵr, said: "This has been a great opportunity for us to engage and connect with so many fantastic organisations and charities and be able to put together an event to raise awareness of their wonderful research work.

"Techniquest Glyndŵr relishes any opportunity to continue our growth within Wrexham’s town centre community whilst keeping our core values of encouraging people young and old to engage with all aspects of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

"We’ve particularly enjoyed seeing so many families taking an interest in these subjects and hopefully those we’ve met over the weekend will have the chance to visit the centre this half-term and you never know, they could go on to be the next generation of engineers, developers, researchers or wherever their imagination leads them."
