POLICE have appealed for information after a young man was assaulted in the town centre.
Officers from West Mercia Police are investigating an incident at Cross Street in Oswestry in the early hours of Saturday, October 27, which led to a man being taken to hospital.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Officers were called at 4.35am after a 23 year old man was assaulted in Cross Street in Oswestry.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening."
The spokesman added that enquiries are on-going.
