FOOTBALL fans that revelled in the marvels of Wales' Euro 2016 campaign have the chance to get an insider's perspective at an upcoming event in Denbigh.

The Denbigh Urdd Appeal Committee (DUAC) will host an interview with Wales FA assistant coach Osian Roberts and former Wales international player Owain Tudur Jones on Saturday, November 10.

The Welsh-language interview, in which the pair will discuss the nation's journey to the semi-final of the European Championships, will be led by BBC presenter Dylan Jones.

The DUAC is hoping to stage its own masterclass in two years time when Denbigh will host the Urdd Eisteddfod, one of the largest youth festivals in Europe.

It is one of 30 volunteer-led committees across Wales raising money towards the cost of the Eisteddfod, which is expected to reach £1.8million.

Denbigh's individual target is £315,000.

A spokesperson for the Denbigh Urdd Appeal Committee said: "This is a unique event, and hope that the people of Denbigh and the surrounding area will support us on this.

"As Osian is well known within Wales we are so lucky that he is willing to assist us in raising money for the Eisteddfod Appeal.

"We would like the town hall to be full in order to add to the occasion and have a fantastic atmosphere."

Attendees will also be able to bid for a Wales football shirt signed by the current football team, and a framed Lions rugby short signed by former Wales rugby international legend and commentator Gareth Edwards.

The event at Denbigh Town Hall starts at 8pm.

Further entertainment will include live music by Welsh rock band Candelas.

Tickets are available at Siop Clwyd and the DUAC Facebook page.
