A KRONOSPAN employee was taken to hospital after an incident at the factory on Thursday morning.
An air ambulance was called to the Holyhead Road site at 9.20am after a man working on the site suffered a head injury
He was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital by land ambulance as a precautionary measure.
A spokesperson for the factory said: "We called for an ambulance this morning to attend to an employee who had received a head injury.
"The local ambulance crew asked for the air ambulance as a precautionary measure.
"However, the employee was later taken by road ambulance to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
"His family have been informed, and an investigation into the cause has been started."
