Police are on the hunt for sheep rustlers after eight sheep were stolen from farmland near Llanidloes.

Four lambs and four ewes were taken from fields in the Llidiartywaun area on September 9, and this week Dyfed-Powys Police urged people to report any suspicious activity.

People have been asked to check and secure gates to any land with livestock and to remain vigilant.

Anyone with information that can assist with the investigation should contact PC 491 Thrower at Llanidloes Police Station by telephoning 101.
