A PUBLIC bench will be confiscated from a nocturnal gang of youths who are causing concerns and wreaking havoc on the area.
Holywell Town Council agreed at this month's meeting that the bench in Pen y Maes car park, opposite the Lidl store, is to be removed and taken to another site in a bid to curb anti-social behaviour and underage drinking that occurs there almost every night.
Concerns were raised among councillors by residents about a group of teenagers who frequent the bench, which is owned by Flintshire council, during darker hours to drink and behave anti-socially.
Cllr Ted Palmer said: "The council tries to listen to the public and tries to stamp out any issues of anti-social behaviour."
