The Flowers of Peace and Remembrance Garden is coming along nicely at Our Space in Ellesmere.

Members of The Brownlow Lodge in the town have made flowers for the garden, which will be on display outside Our Space community centre and library in Trimpley Street from November 10 to December 11.

Don Ashley from The Brownlow Lodge also presented library volunteer Sally Poynton with a cheque for £150 towards the project.

Sally said: “It is a fantastic and very generous amount that will go a long way to make sure this community art project, to remember the end of the First World War, will be a great success.”

The hand-in date for completed flowers is November 3 – the flowers can be made from any material and be approximately 10ins in size.

It is not too late to join in; get in touch with Our Space and library on Trimpley Street on ourspace@bethphage.co.uk or call 01743 258555 or 01691 622584 for more details.
