YOUNG musicians had the chance to form their own band during a school visit by two seasoned performers.

Will and Dean Oram visited Moreton First in Oswestry where more than 40 year three children from surrounding schools honed their musical skills on a wide array of instruments.

Inspired by English singer–songwriter George Ezra, the students composed their own rendition of the popular tune Shotgun under the guidance of Will and Dean, who have experienced their own success in the music industry.

The musicians have played and recorded for many named bands during their career and their music has featured on the radio numerous times.

Will and Dean take their knowledge and experience as band players to schools around the county to show youngsters how to make that electric ‘band’ sound for themselves and to enhance children’s creativity.

Amy Lott, head of music at Moreton First said: "The children have thoroughly enjoyed coming together making new friends and learning new skills before having the opportunity to perform in front of their peers at the end of the day.

"Will and Dean have been inspiring and we will certainly take forward the techniques we have learnt into our music lessons."
