A GROUP of green-fingered volunteers have been thanked for their charity fundraising.
Members of Oswestry Garden Society (OGS) held three plant sales and raised £500 for the Horatio's Garden Appeal at the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries (MCSI), based at the RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital in Gobowen.
Horatio's Garden is a charity that creates and maintains green spaces at NHS spinal injury units.
The charity aims to create a 'beautiful sanctuary' for patients at the MCSI.
Dr Olivia Chapple, chairman of the Trustees of Horatio's Garden, met OGS members to thank them and show plans for the proposed development.
Owen Paterson, MP for North Shropshire, was also present.
