AN OSWESTRY pub has taken its place among the town's best-looking businesses.
The Kings Heads in Church Street has received the mayor of Oswestry's annual Best Commercial Premises award.
The mayor, Councillor Sandy Best, presented the award to Paul Fitton of the Kings Head.
Cllr Sandy Best and Cllr Vince Hunt, chairman of Oswestry Town Council Amenities Committee, viewed every town centre retail outlet to come to find a winner.
David Clough, the council's retail markets and events manager, said thast the award recognises improvements made to properties, as well as their floral displays.
He added: "There were plenty of strong candidates in Oswestry with some excellent displays, but the mayor felt the Kings Head deserved this worthy accolade."
