This year’s Pant Autumn Bazaar takes place at Pant Memorial Hall on Saturday October 6 and aims to bring the community together as well as to raise funds for the upkeep of the hall, which is a registered charity.

The free event is being held between 2pm and 4pm in Pant, near Oswestry, for locals and visitors alike and will feature stalls from a number of local organisations and charities, as well as refreshments and an opportunity to see the facilities offered by Pant Memorial Hall.

For the first time at this year’s bazaar, the hall will be selling hot snacks fresh from its newly installed electric oven – a selling point for anyone looking to hire the hall for a party or event.

There will also be a bring-a-photo exhibition on the theme of ‘local history and people’. The aim is to showcase the village and those who live there to create a fascinating display for everyone to enjoy.

Once again, there will be a wide selection of local craft-makers and businesses offering unique and bespoke products, gifts and cards. As well as a plant stall and local produce, such as cakes, pumpkins, honey and preserves, there will also be complementary therapies.

The hall itself will be running a tombola and bargain bookstall, as well as selling bric-a-brac, to help raise funds. Proceeds from the sale of hot snacks, teas, coffees and cake will also go towards the upkeep of Pant Memorial Hall, which is a valuable asset for the community.

Shaun Fisher, treasurer of Pant Memorial Hall, said: “We’re counting down to this year’s Pant Autumn Bazaar, which we are hoping will build on the success of previous events. Last year, thanks to the generosity of visitors and stallholders, we raised over £450 and, just as importantly, villagers and visitors had the chance to socialise and enjoy a cuppa and a cake.”

Donation drop off for books, bric-a-brac and tombola prizes, as well as photos for the exhibition, takes place at Pant Memorial Hall on Friday October 5 from 7pm to 8pm.
