KNITTING enthusiasts are using their skills to help a national charity campaign.
An appeal by Oswestry business woman Gemma Bentley for people to make tiny woollen bobble hats for the Innocent Big Knit has so far garnered around 2,300 creations.
Around 14 people gathered at Gemma’s business, Gemmipops Designs, on Willow Street to knits some creations of their own and attach bobbles to some of the many hats that have been received.
The bobble hats will go on Innocent Smoothie bottles, which 25p of each sale going towards Age UK.
This is the eight year that Gemma, of Gobowen, has helped the appeal - and she thanked all the individuals and knitting clubs who have taken part this year.
“It’s been fantastic. It’s sort of taken on a life of its own,” she said
