PROFESSIONALS who want to learn more about fire safety can attend a forthcoming conference.
Shropshire Council’s building control team s encouraging professionals interested in and involved in fire safety to come to an event at Shrewsbury Town FC on Thursday, September 20.
The conference will provide all parties who are involved in fire safety at the design stage and throughout the life of buildings, with the latest developments following the review of building regulations undertaken by Dame Judith Hackett.
Cllr Joyce Barrow, Shropshire Council’s cabinet member for communities, waste and regulatory services, said: "I would encourage every professional locally who is involved in fire safety to consider signing up for building control team’s conference, so they can receive crucial information and best practice on the key areas of focus for fire safety and building safer futures, from a host of professional speakers."
Speakers include Paul Everall, chief executive officer of national body Local Authority Building Control, and fire safety inspection officers from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.
