TRADERS braced themselves for a hair-raising charity challenge at a beauty salon.
Several staff members from various Oswestry businesses took part in a waxathon at Butterfly Boutique to raise funds for the Linger Davies Cancer fund.
Katie O'Hara and Cherida Lauriello gave back, chest, leg, armpit and head waxes to the men, before donating proceeds from their appointments in the afternoon to the charity.
Taking part in the waxathon were Ben Knowles from the British Ironworks Centre; barber Nicholas Llywelyn; Jimmy Haynes from Evolution gym; Tom Jones from Liar Liar; Ollie Jackson from the Townhouse; Nick Davies; Carlton Leonard from Gibsons nightclub as well as staff from Jones Barbershop.
There was also a raffle, with prizes including a top-to-toe pamper at the salon.
Katie thanked all those who were involved in the day's fundraising.
Katie and colleague Abbie Williams will also raise funds for the appeal with a skydive in Whitchurch on Friday (September 7).
