A MAN has admitted driving with excess alcohol in Llangollen.
Justin Espie, prosecuting, told Wrexham Magistrates Court that Gough was driving at speed on the A539 at 2.30am and straddling white lines.
When police pulled him over Gough, 36, of Aran Street, Bala, gave a reading of 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
Laura Preston-Hayes, defending, said Gough had been out for a meal and had consumed alcohol but felt fine to drive.
District judge Gwyn Jones fined Gough £200 and disqualified him from driving for a year.
Gough could see his disqualification reduced by three months if he takes a drink-driving awareness course.
He was also told to pay a surcharge of £30 and £85 in costs to the court.
