A former Llanfyllin pub which has been transformed into a community hub is organising a 'taster-week' of community events this week.

The Cross Keys will be hosting a number of 'pop-up' event nights over the course of next week as owners Darren and Shan Mayor get to work following a four year renovation of the property.

"It's always been a community centred venue where many good friends and memories have been made," said Shan.

"We want to continue that tradition and work with the other businesses and organisations in Llanfyllin to create a town that not only provides a good quality of life for its inhabitants but also encourages people from other communities to stop and enjoy everything Llanfyllin has to offer."
